Recently Novozymes (China) Biopharma Co., Ltd. held an opening ceremony in TEDA.

It is learnt that Novozymes (China) Biopharma is not only a subsidiary solely owned by Novozymes from Denmark but also its second company in Tianjin, following Novozymes (China) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Located in No. 35, Taihua Road, TEDA, Novozymes (China) Biopharma Co., Ltd. broke ground in April of 2009. After two years of construction, its first phase joint factory building has been completed and is ready for the production of hyaluronic acid, an active pharmaceutical ingredient. The company will also continue to build production facilities for other products according to the progress of other projects.

The new plant is qualified for the production of the Q7 hyaluronic acid as required by the drug administration authorities. It can decrease the duration of product inspections in medical equipment and pharmaceutical companies, streamline the requirement for documentation, reduce production cost, and shorten the period of commercialization of products.
